Trip report

Cistern Trailhead.
The trail descends about 500 feet. Century Peak is the rocky prominence at eye level, left of center.
Junction with the Lookout Trail.
Along the Lookout Trail. Century Peak is right of center.
The Lookout Trail ends at Crags Road.
Admiring Century Peak's Class 5 north face from the road.
The road turns left and heads downhill.
Shortly afterward, I left the road for this use-trail.
Slightly overgrown.
Looking back.
The trail continues left, below the "Do Not Enter" sign.
After a bit of bushwhacking, the trail ended at this wooded area next to Rock Pool, a popular swimming hole. From here, I headed up the slope to the right.
The slope was very brushy toward the bottom.
The brush lessened higher up.

At a minor saddle. The route continues to the right.
Some Class 3 obstacles.
View back at some impressive cliffs towering over Malibu Creek.

Summit comes into view.
From just below the summit, view back toward Century Ranch.

On the descent, almost back at Rock Pool.
Taking the Rock Pool Trail briefly to avoid bushwhacking along the use-trail.
"Planet of the Apes" rock climbing wall. A couple climbers had set up top rope.
Rejoining the use-trail ahead.
